Here are some more of my favorites. you do not need any boxes of mixes or the like.

Biscuits:

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup butter milk.

preheat oven to 425 – 450 degrees Farenheit.
mix up all ingredients. it does not have to be perfect but ten, twelve, or so many times stirring with a sturdy spoon to get things combined. put some flour on the work area. pour out the dough in the work surface. flatten and spread out dough to desired biscuit thickness. Yes there will still rise some. Cut with cookie cutter or clean regular vegetable can with both ends missing. Pop them on a cookie sheet. when oven is ready. pur in biscuits and watch kind of close they will cook fairly fast in about ten minutes. Remove them when the tops are brown.

Cream gravy:
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter or oil
1 1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper as needed

Using medium heated pan add flour and oil. mike and stir till bubbles are rising. Add milk. Stir until the liquid thickens. Add salt and pepper as required. Port thicked mixture on biscuits ro chick fried steak.

Pancakes:
1 cup flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup oil or butter more for greasing the pan.

preheat pan to just past medium to high.
add oil in pan. mix up ingredients like the biscuits. use a spoon to drop batter in pan to just smaller than the size you like they will expand. when bubble come up from bater in pan and bottems of pancakes are brown. Flip each individual pancake in the pan. Flip occationally till
cakes are done. when done remove to serving plater.

Pancake syrup:

2 cups sugar (at least 1/2 brown or add molasses as needed.
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup water.

heat water till boiling. stir in sugar and the vanilla. boil for several minutes. take off heat and put the liquid in a heat proof covered container. refrigerate or pour over pancakes.
